Wolverine Farm Cozy Shacks: Themed Date Night huts (Fort Collins)

Make a reservation for two in one of 4 themed date night huts. Choose between the Love Shack, Astro Shack, Craft Shack, and Writer’s Shack. Sip and snack on your usual Publick House fare, or choose from beer flights, mulled wine, cheese fondue, charcuterie, soup du jour, sipping chocolate, and chocolate truffle selections, all found on the seasonal menu. $5 for an hour and a half.

Scavenger Hunt by Puzzling Adventures™ (Fort Collins)

Puzzling Adventures™ are a cross between a scavenger hunt, an adventure race, and an informative self-guided tour. Explore Horsetooth Reservoir by kayak with help from Harding Kayak Rentals. This small, family run business will deliver your kayaks to Horsetooth Reservoir and pick them up before you leave! 

Blue Agave Dinner at the Museum (Fort Collins)

Enjoy a night out at Blue Agave, located in Old Town Fort Collins at the garden level of the Fort Collins Museum of Art. With house made sangria, an extensive house-infused tequila selection, 13 different kinds of margaritas, and delicious southwestern food (including many Gluten-free options!), you are in for a real treat!

Rent a Pottery Wheel from Flingin’ Pots (anywhere)

Whether you’re in Loveland, Longmont, or Fort Collins, you can rent a pottery wheel from Flingin’ Pots to create your own masterpieces in the comfort of your own home. You pickup the wheel and supplies on Wednesday or Thursday in Fort Collins and return it the following Monday. Not sure you want to be left alone with the wheel? Flingin’ Pots also offers classes and themed take home pottery kits.

Outdoor Activity Kits (anywhere)

Looking for more ways to get you and your kids active and outside this summer? Check out Activity Kits posted by the Fort Collins Natural Areas Department. While they’ve been prepared by Fort Collins Natural Areas, most of the activities are not specific only to Fort Collins. They’re broken down by age and are sure to reduce the number of times you hear “I’m bored” this summer. 

Farmer’s Market (Longmont)

Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, head to the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont for the weekly Farmers Market. If you’re short on time, they even have a curbside pickup market. You order by Thursdays at noon and pickup on Sundays from 11am-1pm.

April 17th, 2021 – Guided skygazing at Fossil Creek Reservoir Natural Area (Fort Collins)

From 8:30-10:30pm enjoy the stars in Fossil Creek Reservoir. A guide will share visible constellations and let you look through a telescope (via video monitor to allow for social distancing). Reservations required.

Head to  Foothillls from 10am-2pm to shop from over 60 farmers, ranchers, food producers, makers, and crafters. Only 2 more Winter Farmer’s Market days before they’re done for the 2020-2021 season!

CluedUpp Outdoor Detective Adventure (Fort Collins)

CluedUpp Detective Days are like giant, outdoor escape games. It’s where clue-solving meets adventure. Gather a team of 2-6 players, come up with a team name, and prepare yourself for the case to find and stop a new ‘Ripper’ on the loose. There will be prizes for the fastest team, best detective-inspired costumes, best team name, nest young detective, and best dog. Scramble across town, solve the clues, and crack the case before The Ripper strikes again!

View a Total Lunar Eclipse (anywhere)

On the morning of May 26th, get up early to view the total lunar eclipse! It starts at 2:47am and ends at 5:43am. Don’t want to be awake that long? The best view will be at 5:18am.
