Fort Collins is consistently one of the top-ranked, bike-friendly cities in the country and holds the Platinum Level rating for bike-friendly cities. With over 285 miles of trails, there are plenty of options for transportation, exploration, exercise, adventure, and fun.
The Spring Creek Trail runs across the central part of the city from East to West. And the Mason Trail runs North/South through the University and old town. They act as a primary bike “highway” connecting most of the city through a series of trails that sprawl our beautiful city.
Central Fort Collins is primarily a community of mature neighborhoods with large trees and well-designed neighborhood and community parks. Even the streets in Old Town Fort Collins are sprawling because they were designed to allow for Horse-and-carts to turn around.
