16th Music in the Museum Concert Series – The series explores the cross-fertilization between music and the visual arts, with concerts in the galleries. Performances by CSU faculty and students are enriched with context provided by faculty from the Department of Art and Art History and the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Located at the Gregory Allicar Museum Of Art from 6 – 7pm. Admission is free but reservations are required.
26th & 27th FoCoMX – The Fort Collins Music Experiment is a weekend long event celebrating the Northern Colorado Music Scene: 2 nights, 30+ venues, 300+ bands! Over the years FoCoMX has garnered national attention and earned the unofficial title of “The Biggest Little Festival in America.” Cost is only $30 for the whole weekend. Or volunteer and get a free wrist band to see any show.
29th Freak Train Variety Show – Quite possibly Denver’s longest running variety show is still going! Since 2000 Freak Train been the best open-mic/variety show in town! The first 12 people to show up get 5 minutes to do anything they want on The Bug Stage (well, just about anything.) It might be the best 5 minutes of your life, it might be the worst. Either way, there’s free beer! Freak Train runs the last Monday of Every Month! Signup is at 7 PM and Show starts at 8.
